PNWFC will support lasting and resilient business infrastructure capable of supporting an accessible, sustainable, and regenerative natural fiber economy, from ‘soil to shearing to sewing’.
Goals of this Pillar:
Support the professional and business development of our producer and processor members.
Improve our region’s overall socioeconomic well-being, as defined by job creation and stability, working-wage income, and quality of life.
Advocate at the legislative level for initiatives and regulation that support a flourishing regional and national fiber economy.
Services we plan to offer in our first three years:
Networking and promotion of regional fiber related businesses, which includes connecting people entering into the industry to potential jobs, internships, or mentorships.
Potentially developing services specifically for local millers and processors.
Seeking out and/or writing grants.
Providing resources connecting users to business development agencies.
Sharing news in fiber legislation with the public via the website and developing the PNWFC Advocacy Platform.
