PNWFC will be the bridge between the public and a local supply network of regional natural fiber products.

Goals of this Pillar:

  • Foster relationship development and connection between entities for the good of the entire fiber economy.

  • Cultivate an environment and platform in which all people operating in the fiber economy can participate in knowledge and experience exchange in service of the larger community.

  • Function as a brand ambassador for PNW fiber and encourage purchasing behavior change from globalism toward regionalism.

  • Operate as a neutral host for regional groups within the fiber economy.

  • Encourage the values of circularity and responsible stewardship of natural resources within our membership.

Services PNWFC plans to offer in our first three years:

  • PNWFC will host a digital map and directory, entitled the PNW Fiber Resource Directory, linking and promoting all types of fiber related businesses, associations, and organizations not only to each other but also with government programs and fiber related news and events, offering producers and artisans a strong network in which to  market their fiber.

  • PNWFC will have a presence at fiber related events promoting regional fiber related enterprises and programs as well as PNW grown and/or processed fibers.

  • PNWFC will present on the project’s mission to associations, organizations, guilds and more as well as at events, symposiums, and learning centers such as K-12 and collegiate educational programs.
